Theatre Mario & Raoul
Spreafico Eckly

Spreafico Eckly was founded by Andrea Spreafico in Bergen in 2013. The company works with changing artistic teams shaped by each project, with Matteo Fargion and Theatre Replacement as recurring partners. Moving freely between choreography, music, theatre, opera and interactive formats, its works revisit elements from the past to reconsider the present. They create pauses in the flow of information, proposing alternative ways of thinking about our time without taking fixed positions.

Mario & Raoul

Mario & Raoul is a performance for choir and cooking team, created for restaurants, canteens and beer gardens. Around a shared three-course meal, a choir sings the conversations of two fictional audience members in four-part harmony, while each dish reflects the performances they discuss. Blending social choreography, communal dining and musical intervention, the work dissolves boundaries between spectator, performer and artwork. Advocating tenderness, tolerance and listening, it explores how theatre can emerge from everyday actions and shared attention. In a time of informational overload and social fragmentation, Mario & Raoul asks whether slowness, conversation and informal encounters can become powerful dramaturgical tools.
