VAL / AMPHI

A WOMB - A CHURCH - A BELLY

VAL / AMPHI is a nomadic, immersive performance installation that explores the whale as architecture, environment and shared interior. At its core is VAL, a large-scale wooden ribcage with integrated light, functioning as sculpture, stage and communal gathering place. Water, sound, vibration and light create a sensorial environment audiences can enter and inhabit. AMPHI, the 45-minute solo performance activating VAL, unfolds as a ritual of metamorphosis through breath, balance, fire and vertical movement. Drawing on whale song, deep-sea environments, sci-fi and club culture, the work invites audiences into a temporary ecosystem of listening, slowness and collective presence. To hold, not to keep - to hold in support, in care. THERE IS ALWAYS MORE SPACE
